EUREP

Your compliance questions, answered clearly

The questions we hear most often from manufacturers and sellers before they appoint us.

What is an EU Authorized Representative?

A company established in the EU that a manufacturer outside the EU appoints by written mandate. It keeps the Declaration of Conformity and technical documentation available for authorities, answers their requests, cooperates on corrective actions and is named on the product, its packaging, the parcel or an accompanying document. Product responsibility stays with the manufacturer.

Do I need an EU Authorized Representative?

In most cases, yes. Most CE-marked products from manufacturers outside the EU need an economic operator established in the EU (Article 4, Regulation (EU) 2019/1020). Without an EU importer, that is usually an Authorized Representative. Under the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), most consumer products also need a Responsible Person in the EU.

How fast can Representa become my Authorized Representative?

Onboarding is typically completed within 24 to 48 hours once we receive your product details and documentation.

Which products do you support?

We support a wide range of products, including consumer goods, electronics, machinery, toys, cosmetics, medical devices, and other CE and GPSR-relevant categories. If your product is not listed, ask us: we will guide you.

What documents do you need from us?

Usually: the technical file, test reports (where applicable), Declaration of Conformity draft, labeling, and user instructions. We will provide a clear checklist tailored to your product.

Do you verify our compliance?

Yes. We review your documentation for completeness and alignment with EU regulations. If needed, we coordinate testing or liaise with Notified Bodies to secure compliance.

Are you officially recognized by authorities?

Representa GmbH is listed in the U.S. International Trade Administration (ITA) directory of CE marking consultants and trusted by manufacturers worldwide. It is a registered company in Germany (Lemgo District Court, HRB 11392). The appointment as Authorized Representative is made by your written mandate; there is no separate state license for this role.

What happens if my product is found non-compliant?

We guide you through corrective actions, update documentation, and support you in resolving issues with authorities, helping you avoid fines, recalls, or blocked shipments.

Do you also cover UK compliance?

Yes. Alongside representation in the EU, we also cover the United Kingdom, including the UK Responsible Person. In the free consultation, we clarify what your products need there.

How much does the service cost?

Our pricing is transparent and tailored to your product portfolio. We offer clear service plans with no hidden fees, ensuring predictable compliance costs: Starter from 1,890 EUR, Professional from 2,749 EUR and Premium from 5,990 EUR per year. The Enrollment plan for fast onboarding costs 649 EUR. Details are on the pricing page.

Why should I choose Representa over other providers?

Listed in the U.S. ITA directory and trusted globally. Fast onboarding: start within 48 hours. Direct access: work with real experts, not call centers. Ongoing assurance: we monitor evolving EU rules so you stay compliant.
